Seven things a week — week 11

Sleeping bag

This sleeping bag has seen a lot of adventures. As a consequence, it also has quite a few burns due to its proximity with the fire that was keeping us warm at night. I still really like it, but we bought better and lighter ones for our trip in Inner Mongolia last July, so no need to keep it for the dust and the rats.

Delsey trolley case

This luggage was given to me by friends a few years ago, and mostly only served once. It got damaged by the budget airlines we took from Amsterdam to Geneva with Jan, a few days after her bigger sister got damaged by Air France when we arrived from Shanghai (but Air France replaced it without blinking). I don’t remember ever using it since.

Clipper

Grace helped Tom and I to buy one clipper each when we were at TNC, I think the battery finally died. After so many years of services, I can’t blame it.

Guide Books

These are a Lonely planet and a Guide du Routard I never really used. I think the Guide du Routard was given to me by my sister after she visited me.

Small massage tool

It was fun to buy, it was fun to use a few times, then it just stayed on a shelf. Poor thing might find a better owner now.

Camera bag

I bought this bag when I was carrying too many lenses with my reflex. I used to carry them all the time, because… “You never know”. I gave up on carrying so many things a long time ago, and rats in the attic started to find this bag comfortable, apparently. :)

Cat carrier

Kali and Silvia left me this when they left China and I completely forgot about it. I happen to have bought another bigger one in the meantime. Having only one cat, I don’t see the point of keeping this one.
